Lanjarón is a welcoming Andalucian white-washed village, located on the edge of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, in Las Alpujarras. It is a working town, famed for its mineral rich spring waters, which are still well known today. The village has a public mineral baths that offers treatments. There are bubbling fountains dotted around the village, each with its “healing” waters and each has a different poem. Lanjarón has a good selection of restaurants and cafés, heladerias, pastry shops, bodegas, where you can purchase locally made wines, cured ham, teas, soaps and local honey. There are also banks, supermarkets, a church and medical centre.
