Walking & Sightseeing Holidays in Spain

Explore a country full of diverse landscapes. From the mountains of the Aragon Pyrenees, the green Pyrenean foothills of Navarra to the wide bays and sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast with Adagio you’ll discover the hidden delights of this popular yet underexplored destination.

Guided Adagio Holidays in Spain

From the charming white-washed Andalucian villages of the south where you’ll enjoy locally produced honey and typical sweet pastries to the traditional Galician Pazos and their magnificent ornamental gardens in the north, Spain is packed full of experiences to be discovered, far away from the crowds.

Explore Spain’s Basque Country, with its unique language, mouthwatering cuisine and stunning scenery it is the epitome of a more ‘hidden’ Spain. Dramatic cliffs, rocky coves and rias, lush green valleys, striking architecture, fascinating culture and traditions and celebrated cuisine & wines are just the start of what this region has to offer.

For those looking for a more traditional holiday in Spain, we have planned a week that combines culture and history, famous sights such as Monserrat and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona as well traditional villages and seaside towns, which we will discover on countryside strolls. You’ll stay in probably the most impressive hotel in our whole programme, a hill-top parador with views over the town of Cardona below and the surrounding Catalonia countryside.

Whichever side of Spain you choose to discover, don’t rush. Explore at the perfect pace with Adagio.

This holiday includes an active sightseeing programme with unchallenging walks, either city tours or strolls on relatively easy terrain in the surrounding countryside. If in a mountainous area, the walks will be amongst the hills rather than up and down them. Local guides, winery visits, traditional villages and time to pause and watch the locals going about their lives are likely to feature.
