Umbria is the Green Heart of Italy. The long summers and fertile land bring forth olives, grapes and other delicious produce in sun-kissed abundance. Beautifully preserved Renaissance towns dot the landscape.
Besides the treasures of Assisi are the lesser known attractions of Spello, Spoleto and our base of Trevi, an excellent balance of sightseeing and walks. Here peace and quiet pervade the shade of old town streets. The scent of jasmine is intoxicating – look out for the Spello Flower Festival in June – and for the Trevi Medieval Festival in October.
